My name is Jake Russell and I am currently an Apprentice Teacher at William B. Travis High School, AISD, teaching two sections of Physics to 11th and 12th grade students during the Spring 2020 semester.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS Physics degree in December 2019. I plan to complete my teaching certification for high school physics in the Spring 2020 semester through the UTeach Natural Sciences program.
I started swimming competitively at 8 years old and continued throughout high school. Early on in my high school career I was hired as an assistant coach for a TAAF team that I went on to coach for many years. Currently, I coach a DASA swim team in the summers that is based in Allen, TX.
